Jul 24, 2020 · The best feature of this add‐on is that it can be directly attached the gas chromatograph (GC) inlet via a heated transfer line. After a sample is heated, the gases evolving from the sample get collected in the headspace area between the sample and the vial cap.

The vials were then immediately crimped and without any processing stored in a freezer at −20 °C until analysis. Saliva specimens were analysed within 24 h of collection. All samples were collected in the same room at the same time of day.
